Canada Service Corps – Micro-grants Stream

Funding amount: Up to $3,000,000 per fiscal year

Who can apply: Eligible organizations can apply for up to $3,000,000 per fiscal year for projects that support and disburse funding (‘micro-grants’) to youth to design and carry out youth-led volunteer projects.

What this program offers: Canada Service Corps (CSC) is a contributions program which provides funding to National and Regional organizations to recruit youth volunteers and help improve the social, economic, and environmental well-being of communities through local action. CSC Micro-grants Stream provides Funding to youth-serving organizations to deliver supports by redistributing one-time cash payments to youth participants across Canada. Projects will help youth participants carry out youth-led community service projects and enable them to develop skills such as leadership, planning and budgeting. CSC also provides funding to youth-serving organizations to develop and deliver volunteer service placements under the Service Placements Regional Stream and the Service Placements National Stream.

Information sessions

We’ll hold information sessions to give an overview of this application process. The sessions will be accessible and include:

  • American Sign Language (ASL),
  • Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ)
  • Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART)

The information sessions will cover the Micro-grants, Service Placements National and Service Placements Regional streams and will take place on the following dates:

  • October 24, 2023 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, Eastern Time (French and langue des signes québécoise (LSQ))
  • October 24, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Eastern Time (English and American Sign Language (ALS))
  • October 25, 2023 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, Eastern Time (French and langue des signes québécoise (LSQ))
  • October 25, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Eastern Time (English and American Sign Language (ALS))
  • November 21, 2023 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, Eastern Time (French and langue des signes québécoise (LSQ))
  • November 21, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Eastern Time (English and American Sign Language (ALS))
  • November 22, 2023 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, Eastern Time (French and langue des signes québécoise (LSQ))
  • November 22, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Eastern Time (English and American Sign Language (ALS))

You can register to take part online or by teleconference by sending an email to NC-DGOP-POB-CSC-SJC-GD@servicecanada.gc.ca. In your email, please specify the following information for each session you’d like to attend:

  • the date
  • your preferred language (English or French)
  • any accessibility requirements

Please send us your request by 12:00 pm (noon), Eastern Time, on the day before the session(s) you wish to attend. We’ll then send you the instructions on how to join.
